“Over the last 20 years I’ve worked with a wide variety of funeral directors. Some have been warm and helpful. Some stand-offish. Others too pushy.

Usually, I meet the funeral director the week, or often even the day, of the service. As a person passes away and the funeral approaches… I find myself hoping the funeral directors will be supportive and helpful. I hope the church space is respected and the faith of the bereaved family is honoured.

This year I’ve been blessed to be involved with Living Hope Funerals. I’ve worked with them and been served by them, after the passing of my mother. The Living Hope team have been available, relational and flexible. When one family requested a Sunday memorial and Monday committal service, Living Hope were happy to make it work.
